Gift Aid Declaration ~

You can make your RBWF fees and donations worth more to us. For every pound you give we get an extra 25 pence from HM Revenue and Customs, if you are a UK Tax Payer. Even better we can back date this 4 years on all your past fees and donations. To qualify for Gift Aid, what you pay in Income Tax must at least equal the amount we will claim in the tax year.

If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.

What we hope to achieve ~

Throughout the world and without distinction of race, politics, religious opinion or sexual orientation, the Federation will :

  • Encourage and arrange competitions among the public, students and school children
  • Stimulate and develop the study and teaching of : Scottish literature, art, music and language
  • Conserve buildings and places associated with Robert Burns and his contemporaries
  • Strengthen the bond of fellowship among members of Burns Clubs and Kindred Societies, by encouraging them to honour the memory of Robert Burns and his works

Who can Join ~

Clubs, Societies, Individuals, Families and Corporate bodies who support the aims and objectives of the Robert Burns World Federation may be admitted as Federation Members.

  1. FREE copy of the Burns Chronicle, which keeps members across the world updated with club activities, provides academic articles, adds to our knowledge, to include in talks.
  2. FREE bi-monthly Newsletter 'The Vision" with general information on Club and Burns related articles the world o’er.
  3. Contribute to the Newsletter, submit articles, and newsworthy items.
  4. Increased knowledge of the life and works of Robert Burns.
  5. Enjoy the company of fellow Federation members worldwide.
  6. Volunteering opportunity to work with our committees to promote works of Burns across the globe from the UK to USA, Canada, Europe and Pacific.
  7. Expectation that RBWF Headquarter staff will either answer, or field and disseminate, questions from Federation Members and the public.
